VistaCreate Review, Pricing & Alternatives (2026)

Template-based graphic design for small teams, with AI tools and one price for 10 seats

Last updated: October 26, 2026

What is VistaCreate?

VistaCreate is a browser and mobile design app from Vista, the Cimpress company behind VistaPrint, offering templates for social posts, ads, flyers and video. Pro adds AI image generation, an AI writer, background and object removal, and covers up to 10 team members for $10 a month billed annually. A free Starter plan includes 100,000+ templates and social scheduling.

VistaCreate began in 2016 as Crello, a design tool from the team behind the Depositphotos stock library, and became part of Vista, a Cimpress company, in October 2021, when it took its current name. Vista is best known for VistaPrint, and VistaCreate is built to feed that business: a design made in the editor can be resized into a print format and ordered as business cards, flyers or signs. The product targets small businesses, solo marketers and social media creators who want ready-made layouts rather than a blank canvas. It competes most directly with Canva, and positions itself on price, especially for small teams that share one account.

The editor works in the browser and in iOS and Android apps. Users start from more than 200,000 templates on Pro, or 100,000 on the free plan, covering Instagram posts and stories, Facebook covers, Pinterest pins, YouTube thumbnails, presentations, posters and logos. Many templates are animated, and users can add music, video clips and text animations to export short videos or GIFs. The library includes more than 170 million photos, videos and vectors on Pro. Brand Kits store logos, colors and fonts. A built-in scheduler posts directly to Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, and the One-click Resizer converts a design into other social or print sizes.

AI features sit in a Pro-only AI Tools bundle. The AI Image Generator creates images from text prompts with a choice of styles and formats, and VistaCreate says output can be used commercially; Pro includes 100 generations a month, shared across the account or team. An AI Template Creator builds a layout from a prompt. The AI Writer drafts, rewrites, shortens, expands and translates copy inside the editor. Background Remover isolates the main subject of a photo, and Object Remover erases unwanted items. As of August 2026, background removal moved from the free plan into this Pro bundle. VistaCreate does not publish which image models power its generator.

Starter is free with no time limit for one seat, with 100,000+ templates, more than 1 million assets, one Brand Kit, 10 GB of storage and social scheduling. HD downloads, the resizer, Sticker Maker, version history and AI tools are not included. Pro costs $10 a month billed annually, or $120 a year upfront, and $13 a month billed monthly. It covers up to 10 team members under one subscription and adds unlimited Brand Kits, unlimited storage, version history and the AI bundle. Pro starts with a 14-day free trial. Eligible nonprofits and teachers can get Pro free. There is no plan for teams larger than 10.

VistaCreate's main advantage is cost for small teams, since one Pro subscription covers 10 people while Canva charges per person on its Business plan. Its limits are a smaller template library, fewer AI features than Canva's Magic Studio, no LinkedIn scheduling and no plan beyond 10 seats. Canva is the broader choice, with docs, whiteboards and deeper AI. Adobe Express suits users already paying for Adobe apps. Kittl focuses on illustration-heavy designs and merchandise, Picsart on photo editing and effects, and Microsoft Designer on quick AI-generated graphics. Choose VistaCreate if a small team needs social graphics and print designs on a tight budget.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does VistaCreate cost?

VistaCreate Starter is free for one seat. Pro costs $10 a month billed annually, or $120 a year upfront, and $13 a month billed monthly. One Pro subscription covers up to 10 team members, who join through invitations. Pro starts with a 14-day free trial, and eligible nonprofits and teachers can get it free.

Is VistaCreate better than Canva?

VistaCreate is cheaper for small teams, since Pro covers 10 people for $120 a year while Canva Business charges per person. Canva has a much larger template library, docs, whiteboards, more integrations and broader AI features in Magic Studio. VistaCreate suits budget social design; Canva suits teams that want one tool for most visual work.

Does VistaCreate have AI tools?

Yes, on Pro. The AI Tools bundle includes an AI Image Generator with 100 generations a month, an AI Template Creator, an AI Writer for drafting and translating copy, a Background Remover and an Object Remover. VistaCreate says generated images can be used commercially. The free Starter plan does not include AI tools.

What happened to Crello?

Crello was renamed VistaCreate on October 27, 2021, when it joined Vista, the Cimpress company that owns VistaPrint. Crello was originally built by the team behind the Depositphotos stock library. Existing Crello accounts and designs moved to VistaCreate, and the product now links to VistaPrint for ordering printed versions of designs.

Can I schedule social media posts in VistaCreate?

Yes. VistaCreate includes a social media scheduler on both Starter and Pro that publishes designs directly to Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. It does not support LinkedIn, X or TikTok scheduling. Teams that post to many networks often pair VistaCreate with a dedicated scheduler such as Buffer or Later.
